Disney World

Ok, not Disney World, but the next best thing if you are an almost 4 month old with an affection for celling fans. Where would that be? Wait for it...... ... The celling fan section at Home Depot of course.

This does not look like Target.

What! What, is this place?

Dad, this place is cool.

My Dad is the best.

Matilda Jane

My awesome friend introduced me to Matilda Jane years ago and I always thought they were the cutest clothes. They are full of patterns, embellishments and shiny buttons. I love all that stuff. Well, Kai got her first Matilda Jane outfit the other day so we had a photo shoot. Some days Kai is not into the getting her picture taken but today she was full of smiles:)

Lake

We had another sunny, fun filled weekend at the lake. It was S's birthday and she was treated with yummy cupcakes from my favorite cupcake place. It was too hot for Kai to hang out on the dock, so we were stuck inside most of the time. She did get a little dock time in the early morning and fed the ducks with Mommy's help. I think she is going to love the Lake next year. I can't believe how big Kai is getting I am guessing she is 12lbs now. She has a Dr appt next week so we shall see.

This is the most Sunny has checked out Kai since she has arrived.

We are still waiting for Kai to find her feet.

This is pre cry she was not into the photo shoot

Today I Cried

While I was playing with Kai in her room listening to Pandora kids radio, our wedding song played and I cried. I cried tears of happiness. I am filled with so much love. I look at Kai and I smile.  Looking at her never gets old I watch her play, sleep, smile and sometimes fuss. I miss her when I sleep and look forward to seeing her smile in the morning. I still can not believe that such a perfect, beautiful child is in my life. I am happy and that is the goal in life, Right? Happiness achieved. I like writing these posts, so Kai can look back and see how much she is loved and how happy she made us.

New onesie with her name and today Kai met another Kai

I think Kai gets her happy from me...and celling fans:)

Kai's First BBQ

Nope, no photos, because sometimes its best to just keep the phone stored and enjoy conversation. That's exactly what I did and it was perfect. Kai was amazing like always, she sat in her carseat and bouncer and just soaked in the sights, such a good baby.

I took Pea Pesto Dip to the BBQ it sounds gross but the bowl is always empty.

1 package frozen peas slightly dethawed
1 tub shredded parmesan
1/3 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
salt and pepper.

Put in food processor until smooth

It goes well on the parmesan bread from Panera.

3 things Kai loves

1. Bath Time, she is already perfecting the splash.

2. Daddy, he is always greeted with smiles when he gets home from work.

3. Her all time favorite thing is the celling fan. She is mesmerized by celling fans and will coo and smile at them for 30 minutes  straight and that is a long time.

Smiles

Kai is a smiler and I am in love with every single one of them:) Here is something to make you smile. :)

Chocolate Grahams

Does anyone remember these little gems? I had forgotten about them, until one day I stubbled upon them on an end cap, which is how most of the odd items end up in my cart. The end caps gets me every time. I am like "this ginormous bag of what cha ma call its looks like a good idea." and in the cart it goes. Anyway, back on track, I brought home the chocolate grahams and started eating them when I was craving chocolate and it works. It takes care of the cravings and not as calorie packed as normal chocolate. Unless you decide to dip them in peanut butter or make a little frosting sandwich. Both delicious  options.

Avocado pasta

I made this for dinner tonight. I thought is was great and super easy. Wyatt thought it was too lemony. So if you are  not a lemon fan cut back a little. I got the recipe here. http://www.thelondoner.me/search/label/recipe

I just stuck 5 avocados, juice from 2 lemons, 3 cloves garlic, little salt,  1/3 cup olive oil, and 2 table spoons pesto into a food processor. I boiled some spirals noodles cause I like spirals and then sprinkled on parmesan and tomatoes. Yum!!

Zoo time

Kai went to the Zoo, but it was really hot, so my mom and I speed walked through it. We really only went so Kai could see the seals swim overhead but there was a 2 hour wait to see them. Next time my love.
