December 16th

We did the thing that’s a said must do on Maui. The road to Hana. I knew we could only tolerate a little, so we planned on,  The Garden of Eden, the Twin Falls and Hookipa beach. It is a beautiful ride  so green and misty. All was going well until poor Elowyn started puking because she was car sick. I should have learned my lesson, but after an hour and 15 min we made it to the Garden and it did not disappoint. We bought Elowyn a new shirt and she was good as new. I’m in love with the Rainbow trees and have exactly 2 million photos of them. The Durion fruit tree was neat and the kids got to smell one, yuck. The views were amazing, and the paths  that lead into the bamboo never disappoint. Once done at the Garden we stopped at a food truck for lunch. Elowyn was feeling much better and ate 2 bowls of rice then we were off to the Twin Falls. Since we stopped on the way back Elowyn was fine. The Twin falls were muddy and just ok. Hookipa beach was beautiful and is it’s so fun to watch the surfers. I could have stayed longer, but it was time to head home. Another day in the books and not many days left.

The rain is coming

June, leave the tadpoles in the pond.

December 15

Last pool day at the Grand Wailea. We swan in the ocean and I rode a water elevator, the only one in the country. We slid down the slides to the lazy river. It was a good day. Sally and Sophia had to fly home back to their island. We miss them already.

Kai made a hula girl

December 14

Sally is moving hotels to the big and fancy Grand Wailea. They have lots of pools and it’s on the beach so we will be hanging out by the pool for the next few days and getting lost in the lazy river.

She thought this hat was so funny

December 13

We met Aunt Sally at her hotel pool and hung out there for the day it was a very nice pool with a little restaurant next to it, the kids ate lunch and swam.  It was a nice relaxing that day. When we got home we watched Christmas shows and baked cookies.
