My girl is on the move. She started with an army crawl, but now is up on all fours. She gets faster everyday. Kai can also sit herself up now, which makes her one happy girl.

Chicago Food
I had a plan to eat my way through Chicago and I did. My favorite restaurant was Trattoria number 10. I had the butternut squash ravioli and it was amazing. I had Sushi at Sunda, which was good and a fun place. I had my first Chicago style pizza, yummy. I also ate at Zed451. Now this restaurant I choose from a list of many good restaurant and heard it was good. I thought it was a price fix restaurant were the chef comes to your table and plates small food. Nope, when we got there the waitress described the concept and I quickly realized it was a Brazilian steak house. Now this would be fine if I was not a vegetarian. The "chef" that comes to your table is a just a guy with meat on a stick and the small plate is a salad bar were you help yourself. My husband thought this was hilarious. I myself was not impressed.
Chicago
Wyatt, Kai, my Mom and I all went to Chicago for RSNA. Kai did very well on the train and enjoyed looking out the window and napping on me. While in Chicago we took Kai to the Shedd aquarium, but I think I got more enjoyment out of it than Kai did. I love fish.

Kai's first Thanksgiving
We thought it appropriate to let Kai try her first bite of turkey on Thanksgiving. I pureed it and mixed it with some squash. As Ayden would say, she did not love it. This has been quite a discussion in our house, as I have been a vegetarian for many many years. I decide it best to let Kai make that decision when she is old enough.

We are moving:)
We are moving to Kansas City in early December, because you know December is never busy enough. We have family in KC and look forward to holidays filled with family and happiness. I do have to say, I will miss the new friends Kai and I have made in St. Louis. Saint Louis is a great city. I have enjoyed the parks, the shopping and especially the Zoo. I do look forward to finding all the fun things to do in KC and meet new friends. We have been saving money to build Maelani a playground and I am excited to see us put our roots down, so the playground can be built close by our home.

World Prematurity Awareness day
Today is world prematurity Awareness day. As you all know this is very close to us because our daughter, Maelani Rose, was born at 24 weeks. It has been a hard and rocky journey since Maelani's birth. I morn her loss daily, and I miss her always. I want her here with us in our quirky little family full of smiles. I have often wondered what I could have done differently to keep Maelani in my belly. A lot of "What if's" go through my mind, but I remind myself what Maelani gave us was Kai. If not for Maelani, we would have been in a different time and space and for some reason this is the path that was chosen for me and this is the path I walk. Along this path there has been a great light and her name is Kaiana Rose. Thank you Maelani. We Love You Always.

How long?
It took me 7 months to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. That seems like a long time. I have to say that even tho I am back to pre pregnancy weight it is not the same. My butt is kinda flat and my tummy is poochey. I am really not a fan of this new look and I know the only way to get back to how I was before would require gym time. I am so tired from getting up 3 times a night that working out sounds like a joke, but we will see. I will consider it, maybe.... probably

Avocado egg thing
I made this from pinterest, here is the link.
http://www.apronstringsblog.com/avocado-egg-recipe-breakfast/
It did not turn out like their picture. I sliced the avocado and scooped out some middle but it must not have been enough or large eggs are too big, I'm not sure because it spilled over the side. It still worked fine to have the white spilled over the side. The yolk cooked unevenly the top cooked and the bottom stayed soft. This is fine because I like my eggs soft. I cooked it with a lid and a tad bit of water then I added a spoonful of salsa. It was a pretty yummy, fast breakfast just not as pretty as the pinterest picture.
Western Wear
I got this top at Nordstroms and her jeans from Baby Gap. Every time I put this outfit on I think we should head out to the ranch and wrangle up some cows, or something.
