Kai's First Birthday Party

Kai had her First Birthday party and I want to thank all my friends and family that helped Kai celebrate her special day.  We had Grandparents from all parts of Iowa and Minnesota come to join the celebration. Kai opened her presents, ate her cake and had lots of fun. Thank you Everyone!!

My girl is one

I know it is so cliché to say she grew up so fast, but she did. The last year happened in a blink of my eye. I am grateful for every single day I have with her. I am never tired of looking at her face and making her smile. It brings happiness into my heart and fills me with ahhhhh.  I am enamored at her curiosity  and exploration.  I am in love with every minute, even the hard ones. The nights she is up and my eyes wont stay open. The days she throws her plate on the floor for the umpteenth time. I am in love. I am so thankful that I was given the privilege of being a Mom. I love you Kaiana Rose. Happy birthday my brilliant, beautiful, happy, healthy girl, happy birthday.  May all your dreams come true.

Deanna Rose farm

Today we took Kai to The Farmstead and I had a blast. I think Kai liked it too, but I liked it better. I just love cows and goats, not sure why, but I do and I squeezed the heck out of them.

The Lake

We went to the lake for Easter and it was a little cold, but we had some nice days and enjoyed the family. The boys fished and caught enough to eat and it was yummy as always. Kai and I had fun feeding the ducks. Mom, Grandma, Kai and I went shopping and I found some cute stuff at J Crew. It was a great start to a summer at the Lake.
