Tomato pie

I have never had tomato pie, but I thought it sounded yummy so I used the recipe below and Kai and I whipped it up together.  Super easy to make and it was a big hit around the house  A great summer time entree. I ran out of fresh tomatoes so I used a can of diced tomatoes and it worked fine. I also used one whole red onion.

magical back yard

I was in my back yard taking photos last week because I got a new princess crown in the mail and just had to use it. I love the princess look and I got some really good shots. I sadly am no good at photoshop (yet) so I searched online for someone that edits photos and I found IzzyBee Photograpghy. I love composite edits.  They are so magical, I think I could decorate my whole house in them and for a small fee IzzyBee will edit your photos for you. Kai's turned out better than June's I think because of the coloring or the way she is looking or something I'm not sure, but they are both sweet.

Book

I told my birth story years ago on a baby center and  little Scarlette was born a week later. Now her Mom, Kayla writes a book and tells her story of Scarlette's birth, NICU stay and Scarlette's stories growing up.   This book will continue to make a difference in many people lives. I don't know the reason that Maelani is not living here, but I have to believe she had a purpose, we just can not see the big picture. I know she has and continues  to make a difference in other people's lives in the cascading events thats continue to ripple in her passing.

I have not won too many things in my life, so I was super excited when Matilda Jane said I won some goodies. I just received them in the mail this week. I was crazy excited to open my package and see what was inside. It was beyond amazing. A dress and bottoms for June baby and a dress for Kai. I'm so in love with Matilda Jane clothing and not because I won them, but because they are the sweetest clothes.

Tired

After a long day of playing, going to the movies and reading to her babies she fell asleep reading little red riding hood. Just so sweet.

Sick

Kai has been sick for eight days. High fever on and off, no appetite, lethargic and a cough.  She ended up in the ER Friday evenings to get fluids for dehydration.  Today she continues with a low grade fever, but acting more normal. It's always so hard to have a sick kiddo in the house. No parent wants to see their child not feel well. We had to cancel our family trip tithe Omaha zoo which is a bummer for the kids. We will have to reschedule to see the animals in the Fall. I am hoping all is well soon.
