Art board

I was looking on Pinterst for ideas to display Kai's art. I did not see anything I Loved, so I headed to Hobby Lobby in search of an art board. After wondering the aisles I came up with this project. I found a frame in the framed art section. It originally had a silly little saying on it. I covered it with a cork roll, stapled it down. Then I covered the second piece of cork with fabric and used hot glue to glue the fabric down to cork. I then just fit it into the frame and done.  You have a pretty way to hang Kai's art under 35 dollars and 30 minutes. PS. I never buy anything at Hobby Lobby with out a coupon or on sale. They alway have a 40% off coupon online. Just show the coupon to them on your phone.

One roll was enough for me to do both layers.

Stapled the cork that I precut to fit inside frame.

I used hot glue to glue fabric on the second piece of cork, then just tucked it inside the frame. It was tight enough to
stay put. I did not want to use staples because they would show. You could also glue it down.

Use pretty tacks in the curtain dept to hang up the art.

Hide

Kai's new game right now is hide and seek. She thinks this is the funniest game ever invented. She will take off running around a corner, just waiting to be found. Then laugh and laugh when I find her. I love her happy spirit and plentiful smiles. Kai also loves watching Baby signing time, Curious George and Daniel Tiger. To her dismay I limit TV watching, so she learned how to turn the TV on. Now I have to unplug the TV:( Kids these days and their electronics.

Can you find me??

"They will never find me in here."

Kai, here is what I was thinking

I was thinking......

What will it be like in 20 years. I hope we still talk. I know we will still talk, but I worry we won't talk enough. With the invention of email, text messages and whatever is next, I find myself talking less. Kai, don't ever give up talking! It conveys feelings and gives you a closeness that an electronic device can not give you and a text can not convey. Kai, pick up that phone and call or make that lunch date, remember you are never too busy to talk with friends and family.

On a less serious note, I also was thinking about zombies. I am not sure why, but I did and not in a scary way, but a hmmmm,  I wonder what a zombie would do and how could I out run them. Your Daddy gave me a three day zombie survival kit, so I know I would be good for at least three days. I think I was thinking about Zombies because of the show "The Walking Dead" and when you are much much older you can watch it with me. Maybe you won't like zombies and vampires like me and your Papa and if you don't that's just fine, you can watch TV with your Nana. She is not a fan of anything even kind of scary.
