Heart Eggs
I thought I would try out this egg shaper because it looked fun. I found it was best to add a little water and steam the eggs because turning them over was hard.
I made some biscuits, added an avocado and cheese then I had my self a breakfast sandwich full of love. |
Heart eggs, Kai approved. |

What Kai likes at 9 months
Her Dolly |
She loves dogs. |
Her Piano |
Tags, she still loves tags. The toy is perfect if it has a tag |
Strings. I'm not sure about this one. |

Helper
Kai loves to help me with laundry and by help, I mean throw everything out of the basket on to the floor. I let it slide because she is so cute.
What I'm eating
In the freezer section of the grocery store they have frozen cinnamon rolls. These are the best cinnamon rolls and taste almost like Grandmas without all the mess.

First Fever (we got an answer)
Kai has had a fever since Monday night. I thought it was just her teething. Since, I am in the medical field I was like "I'v got this, I can do it, it's just a fever." I have to be honest, I dont have this. Her fever went up to 102.8 on Wednesday night and I felt so bad for her. She was so fussy and would not let me set her down. I just wanted her to not hurt any more, so I held her and loved her and hoped it would pass soon. Today she is on the mend, with intermittent smiles. I am looking forward to tomorrow, when I hope she gets all her smiles back.
Today the rash came so, it must be Roseola. Now we can check that one off our list.

Headbands
As you all know, I love headbands. I think they are soooo cute, Kai on the other hand is over them. The minute I put them on she is taking them off. This makes me a sad panda. I hope this is a short phase and her love for headbands returns.
"What is this on my head and why is it not in my mouth." |
Quickly snapped before the removal. |
I think you will be seeing more of Kai without a headband. |

Grout
As you know this house was not clean when we moved in. I think the prior renters never cleaned the tile floors. Today I thought it would be a good idea to clean the grout duing Kai's nap, so I took to Pinterest to lean how to do it. I learned to use Oxyclean and a tooth brush and so I began.
It stated online to let the Oxyclean sit in grout line for 30 min, so here it sat |
Here you can see the dirt coming off when I scrubbed with the toothbrush. |
Much cleaner, but not close to done |
This is dried Oxyclean that did not get mopped up because Kai woke up from her nap. I think this may only take a year to finish. |

Food
Kai will not let us spoon feed her, so I try to think of healthy meal options. This is really hard because I do not cook overly healthy meals. Tonight Kai had eggs with cheese, and avocado. I need Kai meal ideas that are super fast and easy.
I had a yummy fajita for supper. Yummy, not super healthy. |

New play group
Kai started a new play group today and I think she made friends with a cutie pie of a little girl as evidenced by her slobbering a million kisses on her. Kai is very friendly like that.
Retreat
Kai takes a nap around 9am and I slip away into my bathroom. I turn on my fireplace and run myself a nice hot bath. I light a few candles and I take a deep breath and smile. This is my almost daily retreat and I love it. Wyatt has not yet started his new job, so I know I have to take advantage of this bath time while I can. Once he is back to work I have to take those precious minutes to do laundry, vacuum, mop and pick up while my little one is safely tucked in her crib. AHHHHHH Bath time
