We are moving:)
We are moving to Kansas City in early December, because you know December is never busy enough. We have family in KC and look forward to holidays filled with family and happiness. I do have to say, I will miss the new friends Kai and I have made in St. Louis. Saint Louis is a great city. I have enjoyed the parks, the shopping and especially the Zoo. I do look forward to finding all the fun things to do in KC and meet new friends. We have been saving money to build Maelani a playground and I am excited to see us put our roots down, so the playground can be built close by our home.

World Prematurity Awareness day
Today is world prematurity Awareness day. As you all know this is very close to us because our daughter, Maelani Rose, was born at 24 weeks. It has been a hard and rocky journey since Maelani's birth. I morn her loss daily, and I miss her always. I want her here with us in our quirky little family full of smiles. I have often wondered what I could have done differently to keep Maelani in my belly. A lot of "What if's" go through my mind, but I remind myself what Maelani gave us was Kai. If not for Maelani, we would have been in a different time and space and for some reason this is the path that was chosen for me and this is the path I walk. Along this path there has been a great light and her name is Kaiana Rose. Thank you Maelani. We Love You Always.

How long?
It took me 7 months to get back to my pre pregnancy weight. That seems like a long time. I have to say that even tho I am back to pre pregnancy weight it is not the same. My butt is kinda flat and my tummy is poochey. I am really not a fan of this new look and I know the only way to get back to how I was before would require gym time. I am so tired from getting up 3 times a night that working out sounds like a joke, but we will see. I will consider it, maybe.... probably

Avocado egg thing
I made this from pinterest, here is the link.
http://www.apronstringsblog.com/avocado-egg-recipe-breakfast/
It did not turn out like their picture. I sliced the avocado and scooped out some middle but it must not have been enough or large eggs are too big, I'm not sure because it spilled over the side. It still worked fine to have the white spilled over the side. The yolk cooked unevenly the top cooked and the bottom stayed soft. This is fine because I like my eggs soft. I cooked it with a lid and a tad bit of water then I added a spoonful of salsa. It was a pretty yummy, fast breakfast just not as pretty as the pinterest picture.
Western Wear
I got this top at Nordstroms and her jeans from Baby Gap. Every time I put this outfit on I think we should head out to the ranch and wrangle up some cows, or something.

What is that?
That is a small stuffed puppy in a purple kennel. Why do we have a small stuffed puppy in a purple kennel? Because Kai wanted it. Now I find this funny because before Kai was born Wyatt told me how we "Can't spoil the baby." I agreed and that was the end of that conversation. Now, while we were in Florida at a store Kai picks up the purple kennel while walking around with Dad. I meet back up with Wyatt in the store and ask him what that is in Kai's hands? He said "She wants it." I said "She is 6 months old, she does not need that or get to choose." Wyatt said, "But she picked it up twice, she really wants it." And so it begins, apparently if Kai really wants it then DAD will get it. Mom said no to the purple kennel. Kai, you should be taking notes.

Fish
My Dad cooks up a mean fish. Usually Crappie, but sometimes Walleye. He fries it just right and it's almost always fresh, mix it with some baked beans and it does not get any better than that. This may not be the healthiest meal, but it sure does taste like home. YUM

Over the River
I have fond memories of this bridge. As a little girl I pretty much lived in this creek. I have an affinity for turning rocks over. I don't know why but I have always liked to see what is underneath. I spent countless hours turning rocks over and catching frogs, tadpoles and snails here. This bridge was built by my Dad and Uncle so we could get to Grandma and Grandpa's house with out having to walk around the creek. So every Christmas we sing over the river and through he woods to Grandmother's house we go. Yes, it is a stretch to call it a "river" and "woods" but its close. Wyatt and added our own special touch to the bridge last year.

It's a tooth
Kai has her first tooth. She got her left incisor yesterday. We would love to show you her first tooth, but this incredibly cute girl does not know I want her to sit still with her mouth open to take a picture. So here is another photo of Kai's cuteness minus the tooth.
